Overview

The Physiotherapy Center provides practical and clinical training opportunities for physiotherapy students at Palestine Ahliya University. This is done through the supervised provision of high quality physiotherapy services to the local community by specialized staff and a center equipped with the best equipment. This Center values the concept of learning through participation and interaction with the community.

Vision
To establish an advanced and sustainable model for learning and teaching physiotherapy through community service, which provides students with real life training opportunities within clinical training courses. Through fostering an appropriate educational environment and targeted interventions under direct supervision by the center, both PAU students and the local community’s needs are met.

Goals

  • Support physical therapy students to complete the requirements of practical training and gain experience in the real world.
  • Establish a mechanism to motivate students to improve their academic performance and support students and graduates in the process of self-employment, thus enhancing employment opportunities for physiotherapists.
  • Providing physiotherapy services to patients from the Palestine Ahliya University and from the local community.

The Physiotherapy Center offers the following services:

  • Physiotherapeutic services, which may include:
  1. Initial assessment of patients
  2. Manual treatment and physiotherapy exercises
  3. Electrotherapy
  4. Hydrotherapy
  • Preventive interventions, which may include:
  1. Courses in physiotherapy with professionals in this field
  2. Educational courses in physiotherapy for community groups such as schools, kindergartens and housewives
