Palestine Ahliya University visits business incubators in Palestinian universities
Bethlehem and Hebron – Palestine Ahliya University organized two field visits to local business incubators located in Bethlehem University (BBI) and Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) as part of its work to disseminate the U-SOLVE project and in looking for potential collaborations.
PAU staff, along with U-SOLVE partners from Bethlehem Municipality, met with Dr. Fadi Qattan, Faculty Director and Incubator Manager at Bethlehem University on 7 July 2021, and Eng. Aref Herbawi, Director of Center of Excellence & Continuing Education and Mr. Ali Ramadan, Incubator Manager at Palestine Polytechnic University on 12 July 2021.
Both visits included an introduction of the U-SOLVE project; its objectives and future technical outputs. It also aimed at learning from both universities’ experiences on incubation and entrepreneurship. Through these visits, Palestine Ahliya University is looking forward to collaborate with both universities in future U-SOLVE activities, especially in providing technical support to the selected entrepreneurs who will be technically and financially benefiting from U-SOLVE.
It is worthy to mention that Palestine Ahliya University has got funding from European Union through the U-SOLVE project to build a business incubator/hub inside the university for our entrepreneurs will use and benefit from, as a way to ensure sustainability of the project’s objectives.
