Abstract: The study aimed to review the current status of CT colonoscopy (CTC) for colorectal cancer screening. A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out to include 41 physicians across the west bank by using a self-administered questionnaire. The majority of the participated physician pointed to the need to conduct this examination because it helps in detecting colon cancer. In this project, the CTC procedure and results of clinical trials are reviewed, as well as benefits and potential risks related to CTC performance and interpretation. These findings support the use of CTC as a primary screening test before the therapeutic optical colonoscopy (OC). In conclusion, the study revealed that CTC is an accurate method to detect colonic polyps, compares favorably with optical colonoscopy in terms of the detection of lesions.
