The importance of this program arises from the increasing demand for educational technology and digital education in the labor market, which requires specialized faculty members. Schools and universities are transforming into fully or partially online education, making this program an opportunity for education college graduates, regardless of their teaching specialization, to continue their higher education. Moreover, the program provides the Palestinian community with specialists in designing electronic learning tools and systems aligned with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, and educational and training institutions’ technological integration efforts. It also offers educational institutions scientific and technical consultancy research to enhance academic, management, and instructional performance. It also actively participates in research outcomes to develop educational programs at all levels. The program is also essential since it controls the digital content and educational tools with modern academic basics.
The program enables students to get a Master’s degree in science, which is based on regulating digital content with modern educational basics. Its objectives include preparing graduates to work in environments requiring exceptional skills in digital education and learning technology. Companies and institutions need qualified individuals to produce multimedia content for training, awareness, guidance, teaching, and learning using suitable educational theories for the digital era. Private educational and training institutions also require digital academic production to provide appropriate digital educational content.

The program aims to prepare specialized and qualified graduates in educational resources based on educational principles, as well as in learning resources, educational technology, e-learning, and digital education. This includes teachers of technical and professional subjects such as technology, educational technology specialists, learning resources and technology coordinators, and designers of academic books and digital materials in schools and educational institutions. The goal is to make graduates capable of efficiently working in education, teaching, training, and authoring.
In the era of information technology, adopting and using technology has become inevitable. The world is changing rapidly, and technology has become a characteristic of all industries, educational and training institutions, and advertising and media institutions.
Although the Palestinian market is young and faces significant challenges, it seeks to cope with global technology trends. The curriculum will be shifted to digital and electronic systems, and the government and major companies will digitize their services. People now read newspapers on the internet and social media. Modern books are available in electronic copies, and the list goes on.
Digital content production is a positive indicator towards embarking on a cognitive society that relies on modern technological tools in educational curricula. The rapid spread of smart boards has forced schools, universities, and institutes to use e-learning to provide distant education services. This must be utilized to produce digital educational content targeting learners, trainees, and students in particular. The shift from traditional learning methods to those that rely on information technology and e-learning has become one of the most essential teaching methods since it saves students time and effort.
