The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research seeks to be a leading center in the field of scientific research and graduate studies and scientific publishing to encourage scientific research to strengthen the university’s relationship with the community and utilize the available scientific talents, capabilities, and potentials to solve community issues and problems through innovative methods and approaches.

MISSION:
The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research works towards promoting a culture of scientific research and encouraging research and development to create suitable circumstances and environments for utilizing environmental, human, and social resources, and this to raise the level of awareness and improve behavior through academic experiences within the university.

GOALS:
The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research aims to achieve the following objectives:

1. Making scientific research a high value among the university’s members and students, facilitating the research process for faculty members and students and promoting scientific publication for faculty members.

2. Enabling university members and students to master scientific research skills within their respective fields of specialization.

3. Coordinating research efforts between the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and various colleges and centers within the university.

Responsibilities of the Deanship:

1. Achieving the university’s mission related to scientific research and implementing the prescribed policies in alignment with national strategies related to scientific research.
2. Following up the admission procedures of graduate students in coordination with the Deanship of Admissions and Registration and specialized colleges.
3. Coordinating between colleges regarding plans and programs for graduate studies.
4. Applying regulations and instructions for graduate studies and completing the procedures for granting academic degrees to graduate students.
5. Approving thesis plans and assigning supervisors in coordination with specialized colleges.

The university also greatly emphasizes elevating higher education and graduate studies, demonstrating considerable interest in scientific research. Hence, it tirelessly endeavors to provide graduate programs and opens vast opportunities for researchers to join these programs to prepare their theses for master’s degrees.
