The library is the main information center in the University. It plays a key role in facilitating the learning of students and researchers. It also helps faculty members to improve teaching styles and contribute to the achievement of the University’s goals in education, research and community service by providing information resources. The PAU Library’s print and electronic holdings have grown rapidly since its establishment in order to keep pace with other local libraries.
The library seeks to be a cultural beacon and knowledge keeper through the services, information and resources it provides. The library strives to keep pace with the modern tools and methods used for cataloging material on par with the rest of the world.
To provide and disseminate knowledge in different forms, and deliver high-quality services to students who are engaged in higher learning.
The objectives are complimentary to the University’s overall objectives in education, research and serving society. The library does this through:
- The provision and organization of different forms of information and resources, which parallel the topics covered through the University’s programs.
- Development of resources in a clear and efficient manner and providing them to beneficiaries.
- Utilization of the most up-to-date technological means and technical processing systems that allow quick access to such resources.
