VISION: The center aspires to be a leader in preparing studies and public opinion polls with the highest quality, professionalism, credibility, objectivity, and neutrality.
MISSION: To enhance the culture and skills of preparing and conducting studies and public opinion polls in various social, economic, and political fields, especially in higher education and other areas within its scope, to provide decision-makers with the necessary data and information based on public opinion.
GOALS:
Based on Palestine Ahliya University’s belief in the importance of preparing studies and measuring Palestinian public opinion in various social, economic, and political fields, especially in higher education, the university seeks to establish and operate a specialized center for studies and public opinion polls with the following goals:
• Enhancing the culture of studies and public opinion polls in the Palestinian community and their importance in decision-making.
• Identifying indicators of public opinion trends on priority issues concerning the university community and the nation.
• Conducting regular and emergency studies and public opinion polls that provide the necessary information to support decision-making.
• Establishing a database that reflects Palestinian public opinion trends.
• Providing scientific consultations to relevant parties interested in knowing Palestinian public opinion trends.
• Building and strengthening relationships with Palestinian, regional, Arab, and international specialized institutions, organizations, research centers, and parties.
• Enhancing the capabilities and skills of human resources in the university’s community and beyond in the methodologies and tools of conducting and analyzing public opinion polls.
Types of Studies and Public Opinion Polls:
• Regular periodic polls: Polls conducted
• issues and concerns of public opinion in the Palestinian community.
• Emergency polls: Polls conducted by the center when a specific event occurs, and there is a need to study public opinion quickly.
• Special polls: Polls conducted by the center based on a specific public, private, or civil sector request.
• Survey studies: Studies and reports conducted by the center in different societal issues, using a systematic scientific approach to identify causes, propose solutions, and provide recommendations to address or mitigate their negative effects.
